Asahikawa, Sounkyo area

Asahikawa City has a population of about 340,000 people, it is Hokkaido's second largest city, second only to Sapporo City. Located roughly in the center of Hokkaido, the city is a transport huband has National highways leading in all directions, it is a popular tourist destination with more than 5 million tourists visiting annually. In particular, Asahiyama Zoo has gained national popularity with the ingenuity with which it displays the animals' dynamic behaviors. Mashu, Kawayu, Akan area

This whole area is located in Akan National Park. Akan National Park was worthily designated the second national park in Japan, this area is dotted with caldera lakes due to volcanic activity and overflows with “Asian national treasures”. Firstly, Lake Mashu boasts the clearest water in the world

Kushiro, Nemuro, Akkeshi area

Kushiro is east Hokkaido’s main industrial city, the Fisheries and the Papermaking industries flourish along with the city being Hokkaido’s International distribution base for cereals. It is a strategic point for transportation by sea, land and air, It has become the entrance to the Kushiro Wetland National Park and the Akan National Park.

Shiretoko, Rausu, Nakashibetsu area
Man is not the king of this wild kingdom, it is the brown bear
The Shiretoko Peninsula is a 70km peninsula that protrudes like a bird’s beak into the Sea of Okhotsk.
In 1964, the Shiretoko Peninsula was specified a national park and in 2005 was registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Dividing the landscape, Mount Iō, Mount Shiretoko and Mount Rausu which has the highest peak at 1600m traverses through the mountain range like a backbone dividing the areas of Utoro and Rausu.

Saroma, Kitami, On’neyu area

The National Highway Route 39 extends from Asahikawa to Abashiri crossing the eastern side of Hokkaido.
The end of Daisetsuzan and Abashiri National Parks lead to Akan and Shiretoko which is the sightseeing golden route. Located on the golden route, the area from Onneyu Hot Spring to near Kitami City is a major Okhotsk urban area.

Even in Hokkaido, which is Japan's food production center、Obihiro which is the main city in the Tokachi area has been satisfying the Japanese peoples appetite by becoming the largest grain producing region. Furano, Biei area

Clear blue sky, the snow caped Daisetsuzan mountain range with hills of flower fields spreading out from its base. Gardens and a romantic setting, Furano and Biei are areas becoming popular with couples and young women.
