Original Herbal Tea Blending

Kitami was once a major grower of peppermint. Visitors will experience blending herbal teas upon a small hill on the herb farm. Each original package of herbal tea you blend(10g/60 cups) will be specially packaged and labeled for you to take home.

Fragrance Mint Distillation Program

Learn about the history and culture of mint growing in Kitami, while you use a small distillation bottle to extract essential oils from Kitami-grown mint. Participants will make aroma creams from multiple fragrances, including mint. Besides the cream you make, you will take home distilled mint water and essential oil.

Ryuhyo Pottery Pottery-making

Ryuhyo Pottery is a type of pottery which specializes in using local clay and scallop shells to make pottery with drift ice patterns. The harsh cold drift ice is expressed by the warmth of the clay. We offer three types of pottery courses in which you can create your very own piece of pottery.

Vast fields and endless skies create majestic views typical of Hokkaido, and provide the perfect setting for photographs.
Over 1.5 million sunflowers bloom at once in fall, turning the fields into a carpet of bright yellow!
This colorful flower garden was created by the local citizens. Beautiful flowers can be enjoyed well into October.
