Shibechacho Kyodokan
Located near Lake Toro, this museum provides opportunities to learn about the history and natural environment of Shibecha Town through its impressive collection of artifacts and documents, spanning the region's prehistory to modern times. The museum's collection includes relics unearthed from the Futatsuyama No. 1 Archaeological Site dating back to the early Jomon Period. These artifacts are cultural properties of Shibecha Town, and some of them are permanently displayed at the museum. The natural science displays also include valuable materials such as a stuffed Blakiston's fish owl and insect specimens. The building itself is also a historical structure.
