Located within the Obihiro Racecourse grounds, the Horse Museum displays informative materials centered on agricultural horses. Hokkaido was settled and developed with the assistance of horses. Many of the displayed materials have been donated by individual patrons, including photos, agricultural equipment, saddlery and harness dating back to Hokkaido's pioneering times. Visitors can learn further about the history of horses in Hokkaido through panels, videos, and more. The dedication and toils of these pioneers and their loyal horses is an essential part of Hokkaido's history. The adjacent "Tokachimura" sightseeing village provides chances to enjoy foods from throughout the Tokachi region. Please stop by to enjoy the area's unique history and local cuisine.
