Located within the Obihiro Racecourse grounds, the Horse Museum displays informative exhibits about agricultural horses, which has played a great part in Hokkaido’s development. Many of the displayed materials have been donated by individual patrons, including photos, agricultural equipment, saddlery and harness dating back to Hokkaido's pioneering times. Visitors can learn deeply about the history of horses in Hokkaido through panels, videos, and more. The dedication and toils of these pioneers and their loyal horses are an essential part of Hokkaido's history.
