Kanda Nissho Memorial Museum of Art
Fleeing the destruction of war, Tokyo-born Kanda Nissho was evacuated with his family to Shikaoi town, where they set down roots. Besides working on his farm, he taught himself oil painting and continued to create works of art until he passed away at the young age of 32. His highly unique style prominently features vibrant movement, relying on tools such as painting knives. Many of his works were inspired by rural sights such as workhorses and cows. This museum provides opportunities to learn all about Nissho, displaying his artworks alongside his cherished personal items.
