Kanda Nissho Memorial Museum of Art
Fleeing from the war, Tokyo-born Kanda Nissho was evacuated with his family to Shikaoi town, where they put down roots. Besides working on his farm, he taught himself oil painting and continued to create works of art until he passed away at the young age of 32. His unique style is prominent in his vibrant movement of paint on surface done by painting knives. Many of his works depicted rural sights such as workhorses and cows. This museum provides opportunities to learn all about Nissho, displaying his artworks alongside his cherished personal items.
