Michi no Eki “Ryuhyo Kaido Abashiri” Tourist Information Center

This tourist information center is within the Michi no Eki (Roadside Rest Areas) "Ryuhyo Kaido Abashiri", which offers panoramic views of the Okhotsk Sea and Shiretoko Peninsula. With an extensive knowledge of the Abashiri area, the staff are able to assist you in many ways, including arranging your accommodation and providing information on sightseeing, local events, and dining. There is also an "Information Corner", located next to the center, where visitors can use computers to search for regional information, or check satellite information about the floating ice in winter. Visitors will find a wide range of local products for sale and food available for take-out. The center also provides a free rest space to use on the second floor.
