The city of Asahikawa, surrounded by the forests and waters of the Daisetsusan Volcanic Group, has long been known for its furniture making industry and sake breweries. New life has also been blown into the city's traditional industries, which have always produced attractive local products. The city is known for more than just its manufacturing. Check out the many sights and sounds the city offers, including Asahiyama Zoo, JR Asahikawa Station Building and Kitasaito Garden, to name but a few.

Daisetsu Mori-no Garden

Enjoy a walk in Mori-no Garden and spot the vivid colors of 700 varieties of plants and flowers across five themed zones. Be sure to check out the garden shop and café, too.
