Hokkaido Garden Path

The Hokkaido Garden Path is dotted with 8 gardens that rise over Kamikawa, Furano, Tokachi. In the summer, lots of people visit the path to see the beautiful world of flowers and garden plants. I can understand that you may want to go and see every inch of the gardens as much as possible, but don’t forget to also spend some time relaxing in the garden cafe and enjoy the warm Hokkaido breeze too. Let’s take a look at 3 places from the Hokkaido Garden.

Tokachi Millennium Forest

The eastern side of the Tokachi plain rests at the foot of the Hidaka Mountains, which is said to be the backbone of Hokkaido. The forest and garden stretch over a vast expanse of land as big as 85 Tokyo Domes. The garden, often admired as one of the most beautiful, won the Grand Award of the Society of Garden Designers Awards 2012. They also have a variety of tour plans to experience and enjoy there. Japan’s first Segway Tour, as well as Horseback Riding, Cheese Making, and Art tours accommodate for all kinds of people’s tastes.

They have an assortment of drinks too, including herb tea, English tea, coffee, and wine. You can enjoy light meals and cheese with the wine. Lastly for dessert, you can indulge in sweets like the chocolate kouglof, amongst a variety of cakes and ice cream.

On the patio, you can feel the gentle breeze and enjoy the beautiful garden and forest with comfort food. It will be a precious and delicious memory.

Perfectly clear sky with a light breeze encompasses the essence of Furano town, where the Kaze no Garden is located. The garden took 2 years to plant all of the flowers. Today, it has 365 kinds of flowers and about 20,000 plants. The garden is delicately beautiful, coordinating flowers to enjoy each season and dotting the landscape with a rainbow of colors. The Rose Garden, opened in 2014, is one of the main attractions. Of special note, this garden was also used as a set to film a popular TV drama.
